Eng. Mohamed Aboughalwa is the CEO and Co-Founder of Arabian Developers (ADEC), a visionary company recognized for its contributions to the development and architectural sectors across Saudi Arabia. With over 30 years of experience, Eng. Aboughalwa has consistently delivered cutting-edge projects that merge innovation with cultural integrity, pushing the limits of sustainable design.
After graduating from King Saud University in 1994, Eng. Aboughalwa began his professional journey with ECG (Engineering Consultants Group), where he played a pivotal role from 1994 to 2006. During this time, he worked on a variety of major projects that established his reputation as a skilled and innovative architect. His decision to co-found Arabian Developers (ADEC) was driven by his desire to influence the built environment through bold, forward-thinking development strategies.
Eng. Aboughalwa’s contributions to Ecotecture, the practice of designing environmentally friendly buildings, have been widely recognized. He achieved first place for his work on the Saudi Embassy in Bangladesh, while earning second place for the Saudi Embassy in India and for the Ecotecture competition in the Municipality of Diriyah. These awards underscore his commitment to sustainable design, blending ecological principles with aesthetic and functional requirements.
In addition to his accomplishments in sustainable architecture, Eng. Aboughalwa has successfully managed and executed large-scale projects in Saudi Arabia. Among his noteworthy achievements are the entrance design of King Sultan University, the extension of the Girls College, and the tower for the Department of Public Prosecution in Riyadh Central. His leadership and technical expertise have been integral to the success of these complex developments, establishing ADEC as a premier development firm in the region.
Beyond his professional life, Eng. Mohamed Aboughalwa is an avid sportsman with a passion for cycling. He regularly participates in prestigious races and events, including the Titan Race in NEOM, a testament to his competitive spirit and dedication to personal fitness. As a proud member of both the Saudi Bike Federation and Riyadh Wheelers, Eng. Aboughalwa is deeply involved in the cycling community, balancing his high-pressure role as CEO with an active, health-conscious lifestyle.
